Call G&R Roofing to setup a Free Inspection Appointment. We will examine, evaluate and document all damages to your property. After the inspection, the contractor will determine whether it is advisable to make a claim.
Contact your Insurance Company through their claims department. Inform them that your property has sustained damage and give them the type of damage (hail, wind, etc.) and the date of loss. At this time, let them know that a professional G&R Roofing contractor has examined the property and who that contractor is. Your insurance company will give you a claim number at this time. Write this number down and provide it to your contractor for reference.
An Insurance Adjuster will contact you within 48 hours of making a claim to schedule an appointment at your property. Inform them of the contractor you have selected and that you would like G&R Roofing to be present for the inspection. Confirm to G&R Roofing the date when your insurance adjuster will be out for the inspection so we can meet them during inspection. We will discuss damages to your roof and type of work needed to take place with the insurance adjuster. This includes all measurements, pricing and any code upgrade requirements necessary to bring your property back to its original condition before the storm.
The Insurance company will send you a loss summary report containing the list of damages and the proceeds associated. Along with the summary will be your first installment check called ACV (actual cash value payment). It is important to review this with your G&R Roofing Contact to insure that it’s complete and accurate. At this time, you will determine repairs to be made and products to be installed.
**Most Roof Replacements take only One Day to Install**
Once your project has been completed, G&R Roofing will send a final invoice with any supplements to the insurance company. This will release any remaining funds being withheld. This is called Recoverable Depreciation.
Upon receipt of final payment from insurance company, G&R Roofing will provide you with warranty information for products used. Contact us today to get started!
You should contact your insurance company to find out if your policy covers roof damage and whether you have a deductible. Some roof damage may be covered by your homeowner’s policy, while other types of damage may not be. For example, most policies will cover hail damage, but wind damage is generally not covered. If you have any questions about whether your policy covers a particular type of roof damage, contact your insurance company.

There are a few different methods that insurance adjusters use to determine roof damage. One is by simply inspecting the roof and looking for any obvious signs of damage, such as missing shingles or holes in the roof. Another method is to use a special tool called a moisture meter to measure the amount of moisture in the insulation, which can indicate whether there has been any water infiltration. Finally, some insurance adjusters will use drones to get a bird's eye view of the roof and look for any signs of damage that might not be immediately apparent from ground level.
The process of paying a claim is straightforward but can vary somewhat from insurer to insurer. In general, the steps involve:
1. Receipt of a completed claim form and all necessary documentation
2. Review of the claim by an insurance company representative
3. Determination of whether the claim is covered under the policy
4. Payment of the claim if it is covered
5. Follow-up with the insured to ensure that they are satisfied with the resolution of their claim
There are a few things to keep in mind when making a roofing insurance claim:
1. Make sure you have comprehensive coverage, as damage from storms is usually not covered by standard home insurance policies.
2. Take pictures and/or video of the damage before you start any repairs, as these will be needed to support your claim.
3. Contact your insurance company as soon as possible after the damage occurs and be prepared to provide detailed information about the extent of the damage.
4. Keep all receipts related to the repair work, as they may be required for reimbursement later.
